Rochelle Diamante was born and raised in Seattle, WA. She grew up as a shy girl with a massive dream. When a random YouTube video post went viral, she was contacted by an indie label/ management team and swept off to Los Angeles. Rochelle quickly surpassed over 14 million video views and released a single entitled “Queen Bee” that made a big impact on the dance world. It was later featured in 2 episodes of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”. Due to this, Rochelle was interviewed by NSYNC’s Lance Bass about the single which was also featured on Genius.com and MTV Italy. To this day, “Queen Bee” is being enjoyed by dance teams and classes all over the world as one of dance’s top songs.

But Rochelle was also met with lies, betrayal, heartbreak and ultimately a loss of herself. With the age of social media, Rochelle began identifying herself with her numbers. With the ups and the downs, she began to take it to heart. Feeling at a loss, she took a step back. Putting a pause on social media and instead diving deeper into music. She began to learn a new craft...Production and Mixing. 8 months and hundreds of hours of YouTube tutorials later, she dropped her very own self-written, self-recorded, self-produced, self-mixed album entitled “Release” under the former artist name of “RoRo”. This was a journey of self discovery and self expression for Rochelle and with it, she opened up a new door to the world of music production. Deepening her passion even more than she thought she could. Still needing a bit more time for her sanity, she continued her time off of the web for a little longer.

November of 2019, Rochelle proclaimed “2020 is the year I come back”. But not as the same person. She vowed to never let the numbers tear her down again and she vowed that everything she did would be true and authentic to who she was. It’s this journey that led her to starting the Music Zombies Podcast. Having been through beautiful highs and dark lows, Rochelle deeply relates to the struggle and addiction of being an artist and especially an artist during the age of social media. She wants to spread the word and shed light on DOPE artists that you may or may not have heard about. “This world is so focused on the numbers that it’s literally affecting our health. An artist is an artist because they are passionate and crazy talented...not because they have the views.” (Rochelle Diamante) You want to be here. You want to be the first of your friends to know these artists. And they want to know you.
